30 Miles Per Dollar On Mother’s Day Flowers!

flowersHere’s an important reminder: Mother’s Day is May 12 (next weekend!).  And if you, like me, find yourself scrolling through endless combinations of indistinguishable floral bouquets on one of the online flower-delivery giants, you might as well take advantage of the huge points and miles kickbacks that are available through online shopping portals.

And I mean huge: FTD is offering thirty American or United miles per dollar.

FTD 30 miles per dollar

All else being equal, I’d choose 30 United miles per dollar over the other shopping portal offers (I value United and American miles about the same, but United has slightly more flight options from the New York area).  In fact, I’ll buy almost anything for 30 miles per dollar, and if these particular goods weren’t so damn perishable and inherently valueless I’d close up shop as an attorney and just resell flowers for a living.  I love Chase Ultimate Rewards points, and 15 points per dollar from ProFlowers and Teleflora is certainly enticing, but I’d sacrifice the flexibility of UR points for twice the amount of American or United miles.  For those who strictly prefer cash rebates, each retailer is offering about 20% cash back as well.

So without further ado, here’s a roundup of the best offers available from the four giants in online floristry.  Within each list, I’ve organized the offers by value, with the top offer being the most valuable in my opinion.
